From September 11 to 13, the video mapping festival “The Power is in Unity” will take place at the Luzhniki Olympic Complex. It will be held as part of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the venue. Eight teams from different cities in Russia and China will participate in the event.
The main theme of the festival will be the stories and events that have taken place at Luzhniki since its opening. On the façade of the Grand Sports Arena, you will be able to see large-scale competitions and victories, concerts and full stands, as well as the transformation of the Olympic complex—from the construction of the main sports arena to the modern space for sports, culture, and recreation.
Eight finalist teams from different cities in Russia and China were selected to participate in the event. Among them are both emerging light artists and renowned studios awarded at international competitions.
At the end of the festival, the jury will evaluate the teams’ works, and the show’s guests will be able to vote for their favorite story online. The winners and the audience choice prize recipients will be announced on September 13.
In addition to the competition entries, festival visitors will see a congratulatory novella dedicated to the anniversary of the Olympic complex. It will become an independent part of the program.
