The schedule of the business program for the 11th All-Russian Occupational Safety Week (VNOT), which will be held from October 7 to October 10, 2026, at the federal territory “Sirius” in Sochi, has become known. The main theme of the forum is “Socially oriented technologies – a tool for achieving national goals.”
“The key resource for the country’s development is people, their knowledge, professional competencies, health, and the ability to realize their potential. Therefore, achieving national goals is directly related to the conditions we create for labor and professional development. Modern technologies should contribute to preserving workers’ health, improving safety and quality of employment, and helping individuals to remain active and in demand in the labor market for longer. The National Labor and Employment Digital Platform (VNOT) allows these tasks to be considered comprehensively and solutions to be formed that can ensure sustainable development of the social sphere and the country’s economy,” noted Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova.
The business program is packed with pressing topics that are part of the country’s state agenda, covering a wide range of issues: from the implementation of digital services for monitoring and analyzing injury data to the formation of a new culture of care in the workplace.
“The architecture of the business program of VNOT-2026 covers a wide range of issues — from industrial safety and personnel support to health protection, ecology, and social security. Today’s forum agenda is significantly broader than the issues of industrial safety: it encompasses personnel support of the economy, preserving workers’ health, technology implementation, environmental responsibility, and the development of social protection. In the context of a large-scale labor market transformation, it is especially important to unite the industry around solutions capable of systematically improving labor life quality and the competitiveness of the Russian economy,” noted Anton Kobyakov, advisor to the President of Russia.
The architecture of the business program includes seven directions, divided by industry topics and substantive events.
“The key areas of the business program of this year’s VNOT are occupational safety, personnel, employment, social protection, and employee health care. On the agenda are also issues of achieving zero injuries, digitalization of safety, workforce planning, prevention of occupational diseases, and development of HR brands. Traditionally, we will hold industry events and master classes on occupational safety and industrial security, the finals of all-Russian competitions on occupational safety and social services with awarding of the winners. The program also includes all-Russian testing on occupational safety, which helps develop a culture of safe work and improve employees’ knowledge levels. Within the framework of the international agenda, another meeting of the BRICS countries’ Occupational Safety Network will take place, discussing national examples of digitalization in the occupational safety field. Additionally, there will be bilateral meetings with labor ministers of friendly states to exchange experiences in the social and labor sphere,” said Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov.
The central focus will traditionally be “Occupational Safety,” within which experts will discuss modern technologies for achieving zero injuries, the digitization of production safety management processes, and the improvement of regulatory frameworks.
The “Personnel, Employment and Social Protection” direction will be dedicated to issues of workforce planning and increasing labor productivity, as well as to the development of the social sphere and the improvement of the social service system for the population. Participants in the discussions will also discuss the development of employer HR brands, and on Youth Day, approaches to training young specialists will be presented.
Within the framework of the “Employee Health Protection” direction, participants will discuss issues related to the prevention of occupational diseases. In line with the main theme of the forum, “Socially Oriented Technologies – a Tool for Achieving National Goals,” representatives of major companies will showcase digital solutions in occupational medicine, discuss issues of combating professional burnout and employees’ reproductive health, as well as modern approaches to providing first aid.
A series of discussions will take place under the ‘Ecology’ direction, dedicated to the safe production of the future, covering competencies in industrial ecology and risk-oriented emission management considering meteorological conditions.
The “Industry Events” direction will bring together meetings of experts on occupational safety issues in construction, metallurgy, petrochemical industry, fuel and energy complex, and other strategically important sectors of the economy.
The international agenda of the WNT will be presented under the section “International Events.” The program will include the next meeting of the BRICS Occupational Safety and Health Network, during which experts in occupational safety and health from BRICS countries will share national examples of digitalization in government management of occupational safety and health. In addition, bilateral meetings with labor ministers of friendly states are planned to exchange experience in occupational safety and health, employment promotion, and social protection of the population.
On the sidelines of VNOT-2026, the “Contests and Awards” section will bring together the finals of all-Russian competitions on labor protection and social services, masterclasses by leading industry experts, all-Russian testing on labor protection, as well as competitions of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations’ emergency rescue units in fire-rescue transportation.
