Beijing, September 1 /Xinhua/ — Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated on Tuesday that China’s legitimate rights and interests in Venezuela must be protected.
Guo Jiakun made this statement at a regular departmental press conference, responding to a question about whether the new oil agreement between the United States and Venezuela would affect China’s existing investments in Venezuela.
“China consistently advocates that relations between states should be regulated in accordance with the purposes and principles of the UN Charter,” said Guo Jiakun.
