Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak held a meeting of the headquarters on the situation in the petroleum products market. During the meeting, current data on petroleum product production, the current fuel stock balance, as well as measures aimed at supporting the domestic market, including the Government’s extension until September 30 of the ban on the export of diesel and marine fuel, as well as gas oils by manufacturers, were thoroughly analyzed.

The situation with fuel supply in certain regions was also considered, including the Arkhangelsk Region, Novosibirsk Region, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Sverdlovsk Region, and others.
To ensure a stable situation in the regions, the Ministry of Energy, together with oil companies, will continue working on the even distribution of fuel volumes taking into account the needs of the subjects and ensuring the balance of fuel balances in the regions.
The situation with the supply of fuel and lubricants to agricultural producers remains under special control – the necessary volumes of fuel for performing seasonal work are provided in full.
In addition, the issue of fuel supplies within the framework of northern delivery was considered. It was noted that the necessary volumes of petroleum products for the northern territories are delivered within the established deadlines. Work to ensure the regions are supplied with fuel will continue in cooperation with the subjects of the Russian Federation, taking into account their needs and the specifics of logistics.
The Federal Antimonopoly Service continues to monitor the activities of participants in the fuel market. Special attention is paid to compliance with antimonopoly legislation requirements and the prevention of violations.
Separately, Alexander Novak instructed the Ministry of Energy and the FAS to enhance control over pricing at independent gas stations. The agencies need to additionally monitor price dynamics in this segment.
Special attention is paid to the implementation of agreements between regional operators and large networks of independent gas stations. Work on fulfilling the reached agreements will continue jointly with the regions. The relevant departments have been instructed to monitor their implementation and, if necessary, take additional measures to maintain stability of supplies and the pricing situation in the market.
Alexander Novak urged the participants of the meeting to act preventively, to promptly identify potential risks, and to quickly take the necessary measures to prevent fuel shortages and ensure a stable situation on the domestic market.
