Traditionally, on the eve of City Day, Sergey Sobyanin presented state awards and awards of the city of Moscow to the distinguished residents of the capital.

Hundreds of thousands of servicemen are fighting today in the special military operation zone. And the residents of the capital are doing everything for victory, emphasized the Mayor of Moscow.
“Our industrial enterprises are actively working and providing everything necessary for the victory of our units, our boys. Millions of Muscovites are sending charitable aid. Our hospitals are treating the boys who were wounded. We actively help our brother cities — Donetsk, Lugansk, Sevastopol. State awards of the Russian Federation
The Order of Alexander Nevsky was awarded for the labor achievements and many years of conscientious work of the General Director of the scientific and production complex of the company “Bi-Gas-Si”, Alexander Volovik.
For active public service and contribution to the patriotic education of youth, the following were awarded:
— the Order of Friendship — Alexander Vladimirov, a member of the regional public organization “Moscow Suvorovites”;
— with the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” II class medal — Alexey Zernakov, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Chief Editor of the morning edition of JSC “Evening Moscow Newspaper” Editorial Office, Fuad Ilyaguev, Executive Director of LLC “Specialized Developer ‘Skala'”, Dmitry Kozhaev, Director of the GAU of Moscow “Center for Humanitarian and Business Cooperation with Compatriots Abroad — Moscow House of the Compatriot”, and Alexander Razumovsky, Head of the Department of the N.F. Filatov City Children’s Clinical Hospital.
For high professionalism and dedication shown in providing medical assistance under extreme conditions, Vitaly Finogenov, a doctor at Krona LLC, was awarded the Luka Krymsky medal.
For the labor achievements and many years of conscientious work, the honorary title of “Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation” was awarded to Dmitry Dzukaev, head of the center for surgical care for patients with degenerative diseases and acute spinal trauma at the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of the city of Moscow “City Clinical Hospital No. 67 named after L.A. Vorokhobov.”
He emphasized the importance of organizational support for achieving results and implementing developments. According to him, the Moscow Mayor’s grant program generates excitement and interest from many leading centers around the world and manufacturers. Dmitry Dzukayev promised that the center will continue to strive to work in a way that its results will astonish the entire world, no matter what.
The merits of the capital’s workers were also recognized with honorary certificates and letters of gratitude from the President of the Russian Federation. In addition, honorary titles such as “Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation,” “Honored Worker of Agriculture of the Russian Federation,” and “Honored Teacher of the Russian Federation” were awarded.

The title “Honorary Artist of the City of Moscow” was awarded to Igor Sarukhanov, composer and vocalist, member of the Eurasian Composers Union.
The 2026 Moscow City Awards in the field of literature and art have been awarded to:
— Olga Abramova, senior research associate of the research sector of the Vl. I. Nemirovich-Danchenko School-Studio (Institute) at the Moscow Art Academic Theatre named after A. P. Chekhov;
— Diana Blednykh, ballet dancer, lead stage master of the Moscow State Academic Dance Theater “Gzhel”;
— Alexey Borodin, president of the Russian Academic Youth Theater;
— Olga Yegoshina, head of the research sector at the Nemirovich-Danchenko School-Studio (Institute) at the Moscow Art Academic Theater named after A.P. Chekhov;
— Konstantin Elagin, ballet artist, leading stage master of the Moscow State Academic Gzhel Dance Theater;
— Elena Zaremba, supplementary education teacher at the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Singing Center;
— Ekaterina Kesler, research associate at the research sector of the Vl. I. Nemirovich-Danchenko School-Studio (Institute) at the Moscow Art Academic Theatre named after A.P. Chekhov;
— Gennady Krasnoshlykov, artist, sculptor, member of the regional public organization “Moscow Union of Artists”;
— Marina Kuklina, director of the Moscow State Academic Dance Theater “Gzhel.” She thanked the Mayor of Moscow for the high praise of the entire team’s work and noted that it is a great happiness to serve the best country in the world, the best city on Earth;
— Maksim Lytov, monumental artist, member of the regional public organization “Moscow Artists’ Union”;
— Igor Morozov, vocal artist (soloist), leading stage master of the Moscow Musical Theater “Helikon-Opera” under the direction of Dmitry Bertman;
— Vladimir Pankov, artistic director of the Moscow State Theater “Lenkom Mark Zakharov.” He thanked the Mayor of Moscow and the team for what is happening in the capital, for supporting the theater and people in creative professions;
— Vladimir Khotinenko, Head of the Directing Department of Feature Films at the All-Russian State University of Cinematography named after S.A. Gerasimov;
— Ekaterina Mechetina, solo pianist of the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic.
“I traveled all over the country, and it is an extraordinary happiness to return every time to my native, beloved city. Moscow inspires, Moscow amazes, Moscow truly becomes more and more beautiful every day. It is a huge responsibility to be part of this flow,” said Ekaterina Mechetina in her response speech.
The professional achievements of the city residents were also recognized with thanks from the Mayor of Moscow, honorary titles such as “Honorary Worker of the Social Service of the City of Moscow,” “Honorary Builder of the City of Moscow,” “Honorary Transport Worker of the City of Moscow,” “Honorary Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of the City of Moscow,” and “Honorary Industrial Worker of the City of Moscow.”
“Friends, once again congratulations on your well-deserved awards. You are modest people, referring to the large teams around you who helped you reach these heights, these awards. But I want to personally thank you, personally wish you health, happiness, and every success,” emphasized Sergey Sobyanin.
