PJSC “KAMAZ”, together with LLC “Crane Center “KAMAZ” and the PALFINGER group of companies, has produced a specialized vehicle based on the KAMAZ-65958 chassis equipped with an INMAN IM 150N crane-manipulator and a pipe grab. The special equipment was created according to the individual technical specifications of a major customer and is designed to perform complex loading and unloading and transportation operations in conditions of severe off-road terrain and limited infrastructure.
The vehicle is built on the new generation all-wheel-drive chassis KAMAZ-65958 (8×8) with a modern KAMAZ P6 engine (560 hp, “Euro-5”). The INMAN IM 150N articulated crane-manipulator unit is installed on the rear overhang. This allows loading cargo both onto the vehicle platform and onto a trailer. Among the features of the crane-manipulator are a lifting moment of 14.3 t·m. The maximum lifting capacity of the CMU is 6100 kg, with a maximum working boom outreach of 8.02 m. At maximum outreach, the unit can lift loads weighing up to 1,690 kg. The CMU can be equipped with various interchangeable attachments.
At the client’s request, the INMAN factory designed and manufactured a specialized pipe clamp for this vehicle, intended for loading, unloading, and installation of pipelines. The clamp significantly increases the versatility of the LRU, allowing one person to work with pipes (125-150 mm) and hydraulic hoses (up to 180 mm), including quick-release connections. The use of the pipe clamp significantly reduces installation and dismantling time, as well as increases safety by minimizing work time at height.
The KMU INMAN IM 150N is equipped with an overload protection system that prevents exceeding allowable loads. The unit can be controlled both from the ground using a remote control and from the upper station. The onboard platform is equipped with a tarp and steel folding sides, and the vehicle can tow a trailer with a maximum weight of up to 14,500 kg.
The vehicle’s overall dimensions comply with the regulations for public roads, making it suitable for mainline transportation.
This equipment is designed taking into account the requirements of major industrial customers and is intended for use in the oil and gas, construction, energy, and utilities sectors. The vehicle is capable of performing a wide range of tasks – from delivering equipment to remote sites to conducting emergency recovery operations in challenging conditions.
