“Relocation under the renovation program in the southern part of the capital began in 2018. To date, out of the 378 old buildings in the Southern Administrative District of Moscow included in the program, 96 buildings have been completely vacated. More than 16,300 residents living in these buildings have received new apartments. For settlement, participants of the program were handed over 42 residential complexes in 10 districts of the area. In particular, 15 new buildings are located in Tsaritsyno, six in Nagatinsky Zaton, and four each in the districts of Biryulyovo Zapadnoye, Danilovsky, and Nagorny,” said Vladimir Efimov.
Apartments in buildings under the renovation program are rented out with improved finishes, and the areas around the new buildings are comprehensively landscaped. Residents have access to recreation areas, children’s and sports grounds.
“The vacated buildings are located in 10 districts of the southern part of the capital. For example, residents of 25 buildings in Tsaritsyno moved into new apartments, 14 in Nagorny, and 11 in Danilovsky. Whenever possible, the city provides resettlement participants with new apartments in buildings constructed near their old housing, in neighborhoods with developed social and transport infrastructure. Nearby are schools, kindergartens, clinics, shops, and service establishments.
According to Ekaterina Solovyeva, Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the city’s Department of Urban Property, stated that in the Tsaritsyno district, around 5.1 thousand Muscovites lived in fully vacated buildings, in Nagorny — over 2.5 thousand, and in Nagatinsky Zaton — almost 2.1 thousand people. In addition, the top five districts by the number of residents whose entire buildings signed contracts for new apartments and moved to modern residential complexes included Danilovsky and Donskoy districts. Here, about 1.6 thousand and over 1.2 thousand people, respectively, completed the paperwork.
While residents of old houses relocated to new buildings, information centers operated on the ground floors. When the assistance of specialists is no longer needed, pharmacies, cafes, educational and medical centers, as well as municipal organizations, are opened in their place.

Earlier, the Mayor of Moscow announced that in August the second phase of the factory for the production of prefab structures for the accelerated construction of residential buildings was opened in the capital, including for renovation programs.
