The construction of the main competence center (MCC) for the machine tool industry continues in Kommunarka. The overall readiness of the facility with an area of more than 18,500 square meters has already exceeded 20 percent. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Policy and Construction Vladimir Efimov.
“A scientific and educational cluster is planned to be created in the Kommunarka district. A campus of the Moscow State Technological University ‘STANKIN’ and the head competence center of the machine tool industry will appear here. The construction of the head competence center with an area of more than 18,500 square meters is already underway: specialists have completed the foundation of the building, and work is ongoing on the above-ground part. A high-speed industrial construction system is being applied on the site, which allows for a significant reduction in the project’s implementation time and labor costs. The technology is based on the use of precast reinforced concrete products manufactured on robotic equipment at a domestic enterprise. The overall readiness of the facility exceeds 20 percent,” Vladimir Yefimov said.
The foundation of the structure is made of monolithic reinforced concrete grillages on a pile foundation using prefabricated reinforced concrete sockets. The exterior walls will be finished with three-layer panels.
“The facility will include administrative and utility buildings as well as production buildings. In total, over two thousand factory elements will be assembled in the building’s structure, including columns, roof and floor slabs, beams, and other components. In the future, scientific and production laboratories for research and development, a design bureau, an expert-analytical center, as well as centers for reverse engineering and production systems engineering will be established in the two buildings,” noted the head of the Moscow Department of Civil Construction.
Earlier, Sergey Sobyanin announced that a new educational and scientific complex will be built in Kommunarka STANKIN university.
The main competence center for the machine tool industry will become a major scientific, educational, and production complex. Measures to establish it are being implemented within the framework of the federal project “Development of the machine tool industry,” which is part of the national project “Means of production and automation”.
