A large-scale sporting event will take place in Moscow as part of the city project “Summer in Moscow” “Your Obstacle Course: The Hero’s Journey”. On September 5 and 6 from 12:00 to 19:00, fans of an active lifestyle will be awaited by tests of strength, agility, coordination, and endurance in Tagansky Park.
Anyone over 10 years old can test their skills on the modular obstacle course. There are two tracks: for participants aged 10 to 15 and for those who are already 16 and older. The challenges will take place every hour. You can register for the competition and receive a starter pack from 11:30 to 18:00.
On the obstacle course, participants will encounter areas with horizontal bars and straps, barriers and bumps, monkey bars and nets. Additionally, there are exercises with medicine balls, shot put throwing, running and overcoming vertical obstacles, as well as target shooting.
On September 5, the tests can be completed at a comfortable pace without a competitive component. If a participant realizes that some obstacles are beyond their ability, they can skip them. Results are recorded only at the participants’ request.
And on September 6, professionals are expected: on this day, it is necessary to complete the entire track, overcoming all obstacles in the established sequence, with time recording.
During the break between award ceremonies, warm-ups and quizzes will take place on stage, and at the event venue guests can attend lectures on a healthy lifestyle and sports.
Everyone who completes the distance will receive commemorative medals and souvenirs, and the prize winners will be awarded cups and diplomas.
To participate, you need to register in advance at website events. On the day of the event, it will be necessary to provide an identity document: passport, driver’s license, military ID, or birth certificate, as well as a compulsory or voluntary health insurance policy.
The event is organized by Moscow City Department of Sports. It corresponds to the objectives of the Russian Federation’s state programs «Development of Physical Culture and Sports» and “Sport of Russia”. One of their tasks is to increase the proportion of citizens who regularly engage in physical culture and sports to 70 percent by 2030. The capital makes a decisive contribution to solving this task. Special attention is paid to the close proximity of infrastructure, support for families with children, as well as the integration of participants and veterans of the special military operation and their family members into the sports community.
