This autumn, project days will be held at universities and colleges in the capital city “Youth of Moscow”. This is a series of meetings that will help students see how studying contributes to active participation in city life.
“Moscow offers young people various opportunities for self-realization in creativity, career, volunteering, sports, and other areas. Starting August 30, a series of thematic meetings will begin in educational institutions where students can learn about the city’s opportunities for development and find like-minded people,” said Margarita Savinkina, head of the “Youth of Moscow” project.
How project days are organized and what awaits students
The “Youth of Moscow” project days at universities and colleges will introduce participants to the city’s youth community. Students will meet with active activists and learn about their personal experiences, events, and initiatives they take part in, as well as where beginners can start. Special attention will be given to the project’s ambassador community, who help students navigate opportunities and connect the university environment with the citywide youth movement.
Students will also be told about the key areas of the project — from sports and careers to creativity and volunteering — and shown how they can become an extension of the students’ personal interests beyond their studies.
Schedule of the first meetings
The series of meetings will begin on August 30 at the Moscow State Linguistic University. On August 31, the project will be presented at the State University of Management, and on September 1, presentations will be held simultaneously at several universities: the Moscow Polytechnic University, the Moscow Aviation Institute, and the D.I. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia.
On September 2, the meeting is scheduled at the Russian State University for the Humanities, on September 4 at the Russian State University of Social Technologies, on September 7 at the Moscow State University of Technology and Management named after K. G. Razumovsky, and on September 8 at the Moscow Humanitarian and Technological University. Then, the project days will take place on September 10, 15, and 16 at the State University of Land Use Planning, Moscow International University, and the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, respectively, and on September 18 at the National Research University “Higher School of Economics.”
On September 21 and 23, meetings will be held at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and the Academy of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
The series of meetings will continue in October and will cover other universities and colleges in the capital, so that as many students as possible can get to know the project and choose a suitable format of participation. One of the meetings is scheduled for October 3 at the Russian Customs Academy.
