Two schools of the future with a capacity of 2,100 places will be built in the Basmanny district. Currently, the design of the facilities is underway. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.
“As part of the Targeted Investment Program in the Basmanny district, two schools of the future will be built, designed to accommodate 2,100 students. They will be constructed according to modern standards, focusing on creating a relevant educational environment. The schools will feature multifunctional spaces with plenty of natural light, comfortable classrooms, as well as areas for scientific experiments, community events, and recreation. Currently, the design of facilities with a total area of over 36 thousand square meters is underway,” said Vladimir Efimov.
A school for a thousand students in Yelokhovsky Passage (house 1, buildings 5 and 6) will acquire an appearance referencing the image of a book. The effect of open pages will be created by curved molded stained glass, and the extensive glazing of the facade will provide good natural lighting for the rooms.
School in Rubtsov Lane (house 16, building 1), designed for 1100 students, will stand out in the urban environment thanks to its dynamic leafy green facade. The building will be made in a modern style: the main volume will have rounded corners and smooth curvilinear contours.
Both buildings have not only well-thought-out architecture but also carefully designed interior spaces. The rooms are designed to be as open and flexible as possible. They can be easily adapted for various educational purposes.
“Innovative schools in the Basmanny district will become modern centers for children’s development. What will distinguish them from other educational facilities is their multifunctionality, technological advancement, and aesthetic quality of the spaces. The buildings will include not only standard classrooms but also creative workshops and media libraries, with all rooms equipped with modern equipment. Multifunctional, multi-light spaces are planned for events and lectures. The buildings are designed with the possibility of transforming rooms. For example, in the gyms, computer labs, and creative workshops, there will be partitions allowing the division of rooms into several functional zones,” noted the head of the Department of Civil Construction of the city of Moscow.
The area near the schools will be improved and landscaped. Trees and shrubs will be planted there, and lawns will be laid out. In addition, playgrounds for active games will be set up near the buildings.
