At the district site “My District” on Leninsky Prospekt as part of the project “Summer in Moscow” The sports festival will take place on August 29 “Shift change: from summer to autumn”. This is a large-scale outdoor program that will combine interactive sports games, strength competitions, demonstration performances and masterclasses by famous athletes, as well as a stunt show and a concert.
The festival will begin at 17:00 with an interactive segment and strength challenges. One of the main events will be the functional relay “Krepyshi,” in which participants will have to complete a course of five stations against the clock and test their strength, speed, and endurance. It will be conducted by Ivan Mechishev — a master of sports in powerlifting and the executive director of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Public Organization “Federation of Strongman of Russia.”
Alongside the relay, there will be a separate contest and master class for adults — the “Strong” power dumbbell lift. The host will be Valery Ostapenko, an international-class master of sports in powerlifting, and a multiple participant and prize-winner in strongman tournaments. In July 2025, the athlete set a Russian record among participants over 50 years old by lifting a 150-kilogram strongman log. He will demonstrate the technique for handling a 70-kilogram implement. After the demonstration, all willing participants can take part in the “Strong” dumbbell lift contest, and the most active and strongest participants will receive commemorative prizes.
At 6:00 PM, a strength extreme show program will begin featuring members of the board of the international strongman movement “The Strongest Nation in the World” Valery Ostapenko and Ivan Mechishev, as well as Viktoria Yakovenko — a powerlifting master of sports, Russian mass wrestling champion in the under 75 kilograms category, who competed as part of the Russian national team in three stages of the World Cup. The audience will see pulling a car with a rope, bending metal rebar, and other extreme strength challenges. From 6:25 PM to 6:50 PM, there will be a towing performance — a joint act by strongmen and stunt performers.
The climax of the festival will be the stunt show “Russian Fast and Furious,” which will begin at 19:00 and be led by stuntman Igor Panin, president of the Federation of Extreme Sports, head of the stunt group “Master,” and creator of the Moscow cinematic adventure park “Master Panin.” Igor Panin is a motocross master of sport, stunt director, and coach of the stunt school for car stunts, author and organizer of the “Russian Fast and Furious” show and the Moscow International Festival of Stunt Art and Cinema “Prometheus.” Visitors can expect stunt riding, motorcycle jumps over cars, autorodeo, joint performances by stuntmen and strength extreme athletes, as well as complex stunt sequences such as “Drift for 10 laps,” “Double Drift,” and “Flip over a car.”
The headliner of the festival is Olga Kormukhina, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, recipient of the national music award “Ovation,” and one of the most prominent performers on the domestic rock scene. Her performance will begin at 20:30.
