Second nonprofit music festival will take place on August 30 at the flagship venue “My District” in the Yauza park. Performances by artists, a BMX contest, and scooter sports competitions have been prepared for the guests.
The idea of the project is to unite modern street culture, music, and sports in one space, as well as to create an open platform where the audience will be active participants.
The music program will cover two spaces. On the main stage, music in the styles of hip-hop, reggae, dub, and breakbeat will be played. The first performers will be the musicians BST and Shum I. They will present a joint vinyl set. Then Lpsky, 3 pkot, and participants of the “My Music” project will take the main stage. The final chord will be a performance by the creative collective “Repin’s Picture” — nine representatives of the Moscow hip-hop scene.
The second stage will be located next to the skate zone. Jah Fam, W`I`SeeYa Selassie, Weedy Zvuk, Oprava, Teva beats, Playa, Sergo, Moscow Ghetto Flow, Tape Joe, Killa Machine, Kirya Llirik, Rudo, BTV, and RMCH will present their sets here. The performances will be given a special flair by the saxophonist of the Jah Family project, Artem Chelovek. In addition to his main set with Jah Family, he will improvise during other artists’ performances, complementing the original beats with saxophone parts. The music venues will operate from 13:00 to 20:00.
Alongside the concert program, open sports contests in BMX and scooter sports will take place. All riders attending the festival are invited to participate. In the scooter contest, athletes from seven years old can compete, and wearing a helmet is required. Tricks will be performed on a specially equipped area with obstacles, ramps, and a riding pit. The jury will award prizes for the best attempts. No prior registration is needed to participate in the contests.
At the same time, all events of the flagship site “My District”, as well as play areas and a drone field, will be available to park visitors.
“Summer in Moscow”— the main event of the season, which has already become a good tradition and an integral part of the capital’s life. The main theme of this year is “Time to be together.” The project unites people of different generations around common values, allowing them to become closer not only to their relatives but also to the entire city through walks, cultural and sports events, charity drives, as well as right next to home in all districts of the capital.
“My District”— a comprehensive program of the Mayor of Moscow for the development of the urban environment. Its goal is to create comfortable living conditions in all districts of the capital.
