As part of the City Day celebrations, five employees of KAMAZ received high state awards from the head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov. The event, dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny and the 50th anniversary of the release of the first KAMAZ truck, took place last Friday, August 21, at the square of the Pribrezhny Park.
The first to take the stage to the applause of the stands was the chief designer of PJSC KAMAZ – the director of the Scientific and Technical Center, Evgeny Makarov. He was awarded the Order “For Merit to the Republic of Tatarstan.” The honorary title of “Honored Mechanical Engineer of the Russian Federation” was conferred on the head of the production and technological department of the Press-Frame Plant, Nikolay Tikhonov. The medal “For Valorous Labor” was awarded to the 6th-grade locksmith-instrumentalist of the flexible technologies workshop at the Press Plant, Nikolay Toroshin.
The honorary title “Honored Mechanical Engineer of the Republic of Tatarstan” was awarded to Raif Garaev, a 6th-grade milling machine operator at the mold manufacturing shop of the Press-Frame Plant. The honorary title “Honored Chemist of the Republic of Tatarstan” is now held by Elizaveta Sargsyan, a 3rd-grade laboratory technician for the analysis of molding and core mixtures at the research and measurement laboratory of molding and core materials of the central technological laboratory of molding materials at the Foundry Plant.
A total of 11 residents of Naberezhnye Chelny were awarded during the ceremonial event.
