The government continues to support investors implementing large projects in priority sectors of the economy within the framework of the “Project Finance Factory” program. The order to allocate 39.5 billion rubles for these purposes was signed by the Chairman of the Government, Mikhail Mishustin.
The funds will be used to reimburse VEB.RF’s expenses related to providing loans and credits for the implementation of investment projects. Thanks to such state support, productions will appear in the regions that will contribute to the further development of the economy, including in metallurgy, chemical, and oil and gas industries. Modernization of the energy infrastructure, construction of new airport terminal complexes, and port facilities will also continue.
“We expect that this will help implement the national project ‘Effective and Competitive Economy.’ Large-scale production facilities and additional jobs will be created in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which will strengthen the country’s technological sovereignty,” noted Mikhail Mishustin at at the meeting with the deputy prime ministers on August 24.
The “Project Financing Factory” was launched in 2018 as a new mechanism for attracting investments. The program involves issuing loans for the implementation of large investment projects costing from 3 billion rubles in priority sectors of the economy. The operator of the program is VEB.RF.
