City museums under the authority of the capital Department of Culture, prepared a vibrant program: screenings of iconic films, exciting quests, tours, and creative workshops. Immersion into an Era: Film Screenings and Quests for the Whole Family
You can recall the non-obvious classics of Soviet cinema in State Museum of the Defense of Moscow and its branch — Museum of Heroes of the Soviet Union and Russia. There will be film screenings and quests based on classic movies. The program is designed for audiences of different generations: adults will immerse themselves in the atmosphere of beloved films, while children will learn about the feats of Soviet soldiers and get acquainted with exhibits from the Great Patriotic War era. Participation in the quests is by museum tickets.
At the Moscow Defense Museum, you will be able to watch a comedy by Teodor Vul’fovich “Die Hard” 1967. The Museum of Heroes of the Soviet Union and Russia will exhibit the ribbon “In the Spotlight” 1977. Viewers call Andrey Malyukov’s film a quintessential Soviet action movie. The plot follows a group of paratroopers led by Lieutenant Tarasov (Boris Galkin) during military exercises as they search for the camouflaged command post of a simulated enemy. Along the way, the scouts encounter not only the “enemy” but also a real threat — a gang of escaped criminals, which is neutralized by Warrant Officer Volentir (Mikhail Volontir). Thanks to their resourcefulness and coordinated teamwork, the group completes the mission and relays the command post coordinates to headquarters.
Creative experiments and a bit of avant-garde

Children will become familiar with optical illusions, see a reconstruction of the “Cinematograph” device, and try a simple technique of creating moving pictures. They will also have the opportunity to bring their own mini-stories to life and learn the basics of video editing. Visiting the tour and master class will be possible by tickets.
In the evening, it’s the perfect time to visit the Mayakovsky family apartment on Studenetsky Lane, where a lecture will begin at 7:00 PM “Vladimir Mayakovsky and the French film avant-garde”. Guests will be told how the poet’s trips to Paris were connected with the work of director René Clair and influenced the master’s films and screenplays. The program includes scenes and fragments of René Clair’s 1924 films. In the fantastic comedy “Paris Sleeps,” a scientist invents a ray that freezes the French capital. Even here, the director demonstrated techniques that would become his trademark: freeze frames, image duplication, and dynamic camera. “Entr’acte” is a short film that René Clair created specifically for the avant-garde ballet “The Performance Is Cancelled.”
