This summer, more than two thousand schoolchildren and college students from Moscow participated in thematic sessions organized by the city branch of the “First Movement.” From the end of May to August 21, eight such sessions took place at the “Dobroe” children’s health camp in the Moscow region. The sessions were dedicated to various directions: media, creativity, mentorship, humor, sports, or volunteering. This was reported by the press service Department of Education and Science of Moscow.
At the creative and media sessions, participants mastered basic digital content creation skills; master classes in photo and video shooting, as well as editing basics, were conducted for them. The result was videos about life in the camp, which the kids shared on social media.
As part of the sessions, there were lectures, master classes, and meetings with professionals. Guests of the “Art Media” direction included TV and radio host, journalist Yaroslav Grin, and actress Yulia Dovganishina. Participants of the media shift “In Frame and In Action” had a conversation with film producer, actor, and sports commentator Vasily Solovyev.
“I have been engaged in acting for a long time, but I wanted to discover a new facet of my talent, so I decided to participate in ‘Smena Pervykh: KVN.’ There I learned to write funny jokes and perform on stage. I also liked the atmosphere in the camp: the counselors made the rest truly interesting, fun, and vibrant, and I gladly learned from them how to interact with a team and how to unite a group,” shared Nikita Nevstruev, a student of school No. 1002.
At the sports sessions, participants played volleyball, football, frisbee, and tag rugby. The program included not only physical activities but also intellectual challenges: sports quizzes and team games, including an obstacle course.
The volunteer shift was dedicated to introducing volunteer projects for city schoolchildren. The participants were organized into themed quests.
In each camp session, the kids competed outdoors, developed their creative abilities, and learned to work as a team. They prepared performances, solved puzzles, and in the evenings gathered around the campfire.
The program of the session included practical classes on financial literacy and first aid. Participants were also organized meetings with firefighters and rescue service staff, where they could learn about the specifics of their work and ask questions.
