Financial News: New Releases of Investment Coins (20.08.2026).

On August 21, 2026, the Bank of Russia will issue investment coins “George the Victorious”:

– a silver coin with a face value of 100 rubles (catalog number 5117-0070);

– a gold coin with a denomination of 100 rubles (catalog number 5217-0048);

– gold coin with a denomination of 200 rubles (catalog number 5219-0033);

– a gold coin with a denomination of 10,000 rubles (catalog number 5221-0036).

The investment silver coin with a face value of 100 rubles (precious metal mass in purity – 1000.0 g, fineness – 999) is circular with a diameter of 100.0 mm. The investment gold coins with face values of 100 rubles (precious metal mass in purity – 15.55 g, fineness – 999), 200 rubles (precious metal mass in purity – 31.1 g, fineness – 999), and 10,000 rubles (precious metal mass in purity – 1000.0 g, fineness – 999) are circular with diameters of 30.0, 33.0, and 100.0 mm respectively.

There is a raised rim along the circumference on both the obverse and reverse sides of the coins.

The obverse side of the coins features a relief image of the State Emblem of the Russian Federation, with inscriptions: “RUSSIAN FEDERATION,” “BANK OF RUSSIA,” coin denominations “100 RUBLES,” “200 RUBLES,” “10,000 RUBLES,” the year of issue “2026,” metal designation according to D.I. Mendeleev’s Periodic Table of Elements, purity, the mint’s trademark, and the weight of the precious metal in fine. The obverse side of the 100-ruble silver coin and the 10,000-ruble gold coin includes the serial number of the coin, indicated by the sign “№.”

On the reverse side of the coins, there is a relief image of Saint George the Victorious on horseback, spearing a dragon with a lance.

The edge surface of the coins is ridged.

The coins are made with “uncirculated” quality.

Coin mintage:

– silver with a denomination of 100 rubles – up to 0.1 thousand pieces;

– gold with a face value of 100 rubles – up to 100,000 pieces;

– gold with a face value of 200 rubles – up to 100,000 pieces;

– gold coin with a face value of 10,000 rubles – up to 0.1 thousand pieces.

The issued coins are legal tender in the territory of the Russian Federation and must be accepted at face value for all types of payments without restrictions.
