Beijing, August 20 /Xinhua/ — On Thursday, the Ministry of Commerce of China urged the United States to immediately lift the Section 232 tariff measures on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and their components, stating that these measures seriously harm the interests of Chinese enterprises and disrupt cooperation in the global UAV production and supply chains.
China consistently asserts that the US measures under Section 232 are a manifestation of unilateralism and protectionism under the pretext of “national security,” said Chinese Ministry of Commerce spokesperson He Yadong at another press conference in response to a question concerning the US decision to impose tariffs on the aforementioned products.
