In a new project for residents and tourists, Moscow, its unusual landmarks, and recreational spots will be showcased for the first time in a video show format featuring well-known bloggers, hosts, and opinion leaders. The five episodes of the project “This is Moscow. Nice to meet you!” will reveal the city from different perspectives. The hosts will showcase iconic places of the capital, talk about what shapes its character and image, share stories of the newest and oldest establishments, visit former industrial spaces that are now popular among thousands of city dwellers, and guide viewers along routes of famous film shootings.
The themes of the episodes reflect the continuity of visiting Moscow — “Code of Moscow,” “Moscow as it is,” “Architectural Moscow,” “Moscow for its own,” and “Cultural Moscow.” Maxim Lutchak will show the modern life of the capital (“now”), Sergey Minaev will talk about the history of Moscow, famous places and people (“then”), and Nadezhda Mikhalkova will view the city through cinematography, showing eternal images and values, reflecting the concept of “always.”
All episodes will be available on a special page of the tourist ecosystem Discover Moscow, as well as on Sergei Minaev’s Rutube channel and his page on the social network VKontakte.
Moscow City Tourism Committee forms a stable brand of the capital as one of Russia’s main tourist destinations. Year-round, Mosturizm creates events that unite residents and visitors of the city, and adds new events to the lineup. In winter and summer, Muscovites and tourists can experience a different era at the historical venues of the “Estates of Moscow” festival, engage with the tea traditions of the capital through the “Moscow Tea Party” project, or try a Moscow breakfast at one of the hundreds of restaurants participating in the project of the same name.
On the portal mos.ru appeared large-scale special project, dedicated to the development of key sectors of Moscow. Among them are transport, industry, healthcare, education, sports, and construction. The special project helps to learn how the capital has changed over recent years, which initiatives aimed at making residents’ lives even more comfortable are currently being implemented, and what awaits Moscow and its inhabitants in the near future.
On the project page “Culture, Heritage, and the Leisure Industry” one can learn about how architectural monuments are preserved in the capital. Moscow is the center of the country’s cultural life and ranks among the leading megacities in terms of the number of museums and exhibition halls. At the same time, the capital is the largest center of the domestic film industry. More than 90 percent of domestic films and TV series are shot here. The Moscow film cluster has been created in the city, uniting the Moskino film factory on Ryazansky Prospekt, the Gorky Film Studio, the Moskino film park, and the Moskino cinema network.
