Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin held a working meeting with the governor of the Perm Krai, Dmitry Makhonin, during which they discussed the socio-economic development of the region.
“Systematic work continues in the Perm Krai to develop territories and improve the quality of life for people. A key direction within the national project ‘Infrastructure for Life’ is housing construction. Despite all existing difficulties, it is necessary to increase the pace to ensure the achievement of planned targets. At the same time, it is important that housing construction is accompanied by the development of the road network. In Perm Krai, the share of federal roads in regulatory condition is 85.8%, the main network – 82.92%, regional roads – 78.9%, and local roads – 62.9%. This is a good result, but there is room for growth – not just maintaining momentum, but reaching new indicators,” said Marat Khusnullin.
In the Perm Krai, issues of constructing a new bridge crossing over the Kama River – the largest tributary of the Volga, as well as the development of the railway infrastructure of the Perm central ring, are being worked out. The projects will increase transport accessibility, territorial connectivity, and will impact the development of the economy and logistics.
In addition, the meeting discussed issues related to the involvement of property assets in the economic turnover within the region. They also discussed the sale of land plots that were transferred to the Territorial Development Fund after compensations were paid to affected equity holders. Some of them have already been sold, while work continues on the others.
“This year, we continue to implement a large-scale program of resettlement from emergency housing stock, bring about 400 km of roads up to regulatory standards, and work simultaneously on 30 bridges and overpasses. We are separately working on the construction of a new bridge across the Kama and implementing improvement projects in the territories. I thank the Government of Russia for supporting our infrastructure projects,” said Governor Dmitry Makhonin.
Perm Krai actively uses federal support to create comfortable living conditions for people. Two roads have been built with funds from infrastructure budget loans. The implementation of the projects contributed to the introduction of more than 816 thousand square meters of housing in the region, the creation of over 2,700 jobs, and the attraction of 67.4 billion rubles of non-budgetary investments.
With the help of special treasury credits, the region received support for updating public transport – 99 buses were acquired for 72 routes, as well as engineering infrastructure facilities built for the Perm Art Gallery and treatment plants. Using the treasury infrastructure credit mechanism, modernization of communal infrastructure is planned in the region, including the reconstruction of heating networks and boiler houses.
