Specialists urban infrastructure complex we inspected and prepared the heating networks of 69 thousand buildings for the autumn-winter period, including 33 thousand residential buildings. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Petr Biryukov.
“Large-scale activities to prepare for the new heating season continue in the city, hydraulic tests have been conducted on more than 8.8 thousand kilometers of main heating networks — this is over 95 percent of the total planned work. The supply of hot water after maintenance has already been restored in 69 thousand buildings, including 33 thousand residential buildings,” noted Petr Biryukov.
The organization of heating network tests is one of the key areas of preparation for the heating season. The work is divided into 600 ten-day stages. More than three thousand specialists participate in their implementation.
Individual sections of pipelines are taken out of service one by one. Then, the pressure in them is increased to assess the condition of the communications. This allows the employees of PJSC “Moscow United Energy Company” to detect potentially unreliable sections in advance and promptly eliminate identified faults to ensure uninterrupted heat supply to consumers during the season.
More than 74 thousand buildings will be prepared for the new heating season in the capital, including over 34 thousand residential houses. All work will be completed by the end of August.
