Scheduled equipment maintenance was carried out at the PJSC KAMAZ plants during the summer corporate vacation period.

According to Raushan Sabirov, Director of the Engineering Center – Chief Mechanic of PJSC KAMAZ, 564 maintenance and repair jobs for technological equipment and 204 jobs for the power complex were planned during the summer corporate vacation period. The scale of the tasks is also indicated by the number of people involved: on average, 1,165 mechanics and 340 energy specialists worked daily for two weeks. One and a half thousand people worked without days off.

All repairs were planned based on the analysis of emergency requests recorded in the SAP TORO system. The final list included those that could not be carried out without a prolonged equipment shutdown. Before starting work, each department identified a list of three critically important tasks on the limiting equipment. By the end of the corporate vacation, all were completed.“, – emphasized Raushan Sabirov.

Among the especially important works are those carried out by the specialists of the competence centers. Representatives of the Department of Industrial Automation modernized the control system of the automatic cylinder block production line at the Engine Plant. The electrical part of the installation was completely updated – outdated relay automation was replaced with modern controllers. A restored hydraulic power automation system, based on modern components, is being prepared for installation.

“E The work is now carried out by specialists of the Engineering Center with the involvement of the maintenance personnel of the departments themselves, which allows saving millions of rubles on the services of external contractors, – Raushan Sabirov said. – The growth of key competencies within the maintenance service is the main vector of our development, aimed at reducing dependence on subcontractors and retaining financial resources within the company.“.
