An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.
Motor fuel has become noticeably more expensive.
Non-food products, except for motor fuel, on average increased moderately in price, and the growth of prices for services slowed down, although it remained at an elevated level. Due to tightness in the labor market, household and medical services continued to rise rapidly in price. The price dynamics for food products remained heterogeneous. Prices rose for meat products and sugar, while dairy products, cheese, and butter continued to become cheaper.
The statistics for July showed the manifestation of secondary effects from the situation in the fuel market. This led to an increase in the indicators of core inflation in that month.
The Bank of Russia will continue to implement monetary policy aimed at ensuring consistently low inflation. For more details, please see the Bank of Russia’s information and analytical commentary. “Inflation in Russia”.
