Hohhot, August 16 /Xinhua/ — On Saturday, China celebrated the 4th National Ecology Day. The main event of the festivities took place in the city of Hulunbuir in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in northern China.
During the event, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China explained the country’s policy in the field of circular economy.
Official representatives from other government agencies, including the Ministry of Natural Resources of China and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the PRC, took turns explaining legislative and policy measures aimed at promoting the construction of an ecological civilization, and also publicized the achievements and successes in building a beautiful China.
Representatives of international organizations were also present at the main event honoring National Ecology Day, where they exchanged views on the global significance of the green development concept.
The main theme of this year’s National Ecology Day is “Strengthening the Green Foundation of Chinese Modernization.”
