In the second quarter of 2026, investors contributed 73 billion rubles to individual investment accounts (IIAs), which is 13% more than in the first quarter and twice as much as in the same period last year.
Investors primarily purchased OFZs and bonds of Russian issuers with high credit ratings. Against this background, the share of debt securities in the portfolios of IIS holders increased from 45% to 48%, reaching the highest value since observations began in 2016. The total volume of assets in the accounts at the end of the quarter amounted to 993 billion rubles.
From April to June, investors opened 163 thousand IIS accounts, bringing their total number to 6.6 million. More detailed statistical data reflecting the situation in the IIS market are presented on the regulator’s website. They will continue to be released quarterly.
