The architectural complex Zhengyangmen is widely known as Qianmen (‘Front Gate’). It is one of the most iconic historical landmarks of Beijing. It is located at the southern end of Tiananmen Square and is an important part of Beijing’s Central Axis.
The complex consists of two parts: a gate and a shooting tower located to the south of it.
