First Deputy Chairman of the Government Denis Manturov took part in the thematic session “Homeland is the People. Technological Sovereignty” within the framework of the all-Russian project “Where the Motherland Begins.” The event was held at the National Center “Russia.” Participants in the thematic session included: State Duma Deputy, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy Denis Kravchenko, General Director of LLC “Pegas-Agro” Svetlana Linnik, General Director of LLC “Geoskan Moscow” Pavel Stepanov, General Director of PJSC “ODK-Saturn” Ilya Konyukhov, General Director of LLC “MKS” Pavel Zubkov, Director of the Main Competence Center for the Machine Tool Industry at MSTU “STANKIN” Yuri Koval, Commercial Director for International Sales of the “Motorica” Group Victoria Ermakova.
The First Deputy Prime Minister spoke about the key areas of work to ensure technological sovereignty, noting that the country’s ability to independently produce the necessary products based on its own technologies contributes to improving the comfort, well-being, and safety of citizens.
Among the priority tasks, he specifically highlighted strengthening the technological base of healthcare, providing citizens with quality food products, and enhancing food security, including through the development of agricultural machinery manufacturing, precision farming, and the bioeconomy.
“Another dimension of technological sovereignty is the mobility of people and the connectivity of the vast territory of our Motherland. Creating a modern civil aviation fleet is of key importance here. Today, this program is moving into the practical phase. We are beginning initial deliveries of the Il-114-300 aircraft. Serial production of the updated Tu-214 is being rolled out, and the testing and certification of the MC-21 and Superjet are in the final stages. This lineup will allow flexible construction of routes of any length and expansion of regional air traffic,” Denis Manturov noted.
Active work is being carried out in the passenger shipbuilding and railway engineering sectors. Among other important areas, the First Deputy Prime Minister named ensuring the country’s reliable energy supply, expanding the serial production of domestic equipment for generation, developing the nuclear sector, and modern space technologies.
“This year, we began the practical implementation of the national project ‘Space,’ which covers the internet, satellite communication and navigation, Earth remote sensing, and meteorological services. These solutions are in demand across all sectors of the economy and provide citizens with equal access to education, work, medical, governmental, and financial services regardless of their place of residence,” Denis Manturov said.
At the same time, the First Deputy Prime Minister reminded that the development of human capital remains an indispensable condition for achieving technological sovereignty.
“These are scientists and researchers, designers, engineers and technologists, masters, adjusters, assemblers, and testers. Specialists in laboratories and design bureaus, at machines, production lines, and testing grounds. These people are the main creative force of our Motherland. Their knowledge, talents, and daily work turn scientific ideas into serial products, and large-scale projects into real improvements in the quality of life for millions of citizens,” said Denis Manturov.
