Very soon, the new academic year will begin at the Polytechnic University, and thousands of freshmen are preparing to take their first step into student life. To ensure that this important phase goes as smoothly and comfortably as possible, without organizational difficulties, we have compiled key dates, addresses, and lists of necessary documents.
Dormitory move-in
Required documents:
- passport and its copy
- 6 photos 3×4
- registration certificate or military ID (for male students)
- certificate of fluorographic examination (validity – no more than 1 year)
- notarized consent of the legal representatives of minor students
Check-in will be conducted starting August 24, daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Outside of working hours, freshmen will be temporarily accommodated in duty rooms.
Students who are citizens of foreign countries and stateless persons must report to the post office five days before arrival dormitory@spbstu.ru last name, first name and patronymic (if any), citizenship and the country they are arriving from, date and approximate time of arrival at the dormitory.
Medical documents
Documents for admission to physical education classes for minors:
- medical certificate confirming the minor’s belonging to a medical group for physical education activities
Documents required for adults to be admitted to physical education classes:
- medical certificate of fitness for physical education classes and compliance with the GTO standards
A medical certificate must be issued at the place of residence/registration before the start of the educational process.
All first-year enrolled students are also required to undergo a preventive medical examination at the St. Petersburg State Budgetary Healthcare Institution “City Polyclinic No. 76.”
Documents for medical examination:
- a copy of the passport with registration data
- a copy of the compulsory medical insurance policy from both sides
- copy of SNILS
- chest X-ray examination protocol (dated no more than 1 year ago)
- vaccination certificate and/or vaccination card (form No. 063/u) and their copies
- medical professional-consultative conclusion (if available)
- information about the health group and medical certificate for admission to physical education classes based on the results of the current year’s preventive medical examination (issued in advance by a pediatrician/therapist of the attached clinic)
For minors, additionally:
- provision of the results of the DIASKINTTEST skin test conducted over the past 12 months
- form No. 030-PO/u “Card of preventive medical examination of a minor”
Additionally, for adults:
- a certificate confirming that a citizen who has reached the age of 18 has undergone the mandatory universal health check-up or preventive medical examination
Who will help to settle in at the university?
Adapters. These are senior students who will be assigned to each group. Thanks to them, students will be able to get closer acquainted with the educational processes and rules of the university, make friends with their classmates, and get answers to all their questions about Polytech.
Mentors in dormitories. These are activists from the Student Council who will meet freshmen upon moving into the dormitories and assist in social and psychological adaptation to independent life in a different city.
Meetings with the institute managements
The meetings will take place at the beginning of the academic year. There, freshmen will have the opportunity to meet the leadership of their institutes and their future classmates.
During the official part of the meetings, representatives of the institute directorates will provide important organizational information and answer all questions of interest.
After the official part, freshmen will meet the adapters of their groups.
