Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University participated for the third time procedure for independent assessment of the quality of educational conditions.
Independent evaluation of the conditions for conducting educational activities in universities is carried out once every three years commissioned by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia. Specialists from the company “Verkont Service” collect and summarize data based on which the openness and accessibility of information about the educational organization, the comfort of conditions in which educational activities are conducted, their accessibility for people with disabilities, the friendliness and politeness of the organization’s employees, as well as the overall satisfaction with the way the student learning process is organized at the university, are assessed.
The procedure consists of three stages: surveying students, analyzing the official website, and a visit by an independent expert.
This year, the expert visited the Main Academic Building, Academic Buildings No. 1 and 4, the building of the Institute of Biomedical Systems and Biotechnology, the Research Building “Technopolis Polytechnic,” the Hydrotower, the “Polytechnic” sports complex, the “Maximum” hotel, dormitories No. 1 and 8. Special attention was paid to analyzing the accessibility of information about the university on information stands, the availability of an accessible environment for people with disabilities, and the comfort of conditions for studying and living for students.

The final results of the independent assessment of the quality of conditions for educational activities in federal universities will be summarized at the meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia in November.
