Small and medium-sized enterprises that suffered as a result of terrorist acts in the territories of logistics centers, warehouses, production, commercial, office, and other premises will be able to apply for the restructuring of their loans and credits. This is stated in in the information letter Bank of Russia.
The regulator recommends that creditors accommodate applicants regardless of whether the borrower is legally entitled to credit holidays and consider granting such restructuring as an independent measure to support businesses.
Creditors should refrain from charging fines and penalties for overdue payments, as well as from demanding early repayment of the loan. When the terms of loan agreements change, they are advised to promptly send the borrower updated information about the new payment schedule.
The Bank of Russia emphasizes that restructuring should not worsen the credit history of entrepreneurs.
