Beijing, August 10 /Xinhua/ — Legal measures have been taken against more than 100 Filipino citizens who are illegally working or residing in China. This was reported on Monday by the official spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC, Guo Jiakun.

Go Jiakun made this statement in response to a corresponding question from a journalist.

According to the Chinese diplomat, the immigration authorities of China consistently strengthen supervision over foreigners who illegally enter, reside, or work in China, and conduct special operations in accordance with the law to combat such offenders.

“During special operations, immigration officers act in accordance with established norms and observe rules of polite conduct, ensuring the protection of the rights and interests of the foreign citizens involved,” emphasized Guo Jiakun.
