Beijing, August 8 /Xinhua/ — The Civil Aviation Administration of China on Friday announced the development plan for the civil aviation industry for the period 2026-2030.

According to the plan, by 2030 the level of safety, quality of service, and infrastructure in the country’s civil aviation sector will be the first to reach a world-class level. Significant breakthrough achievements will be made in technological innovations, environmentally friendly and low-carbon development, and management capabilities.

At the same time, the industry will provide more substantial support to key national strategies, stimulate regional socio-economic development, and better meet the population’s needs for air travel.

To achieve these goals during the period 2026-2030, the industry will adhere to the directions of intellectualization, greening, and integration, placing safety at the forefront, the document notes.

In addition to calling for coordinated efforts to promote the expansion of infrastructure efficiency and improve service quality, the plan notes that decisive progress will be made in creating a modern civil aviation system characterized as safe, convenient, efficient, environmentally friendly, and economical.

According to statistics, by the end of the first half of this year, the Chinese civil aviation sector maintained steady growth. The total transport turnover amounted to 83.37 billion ton-kilometers, which is 6.4 percent more than the previous year. -0-
