Beijing, August 6 /Xinhua/ — The Supreme People’s Court /SPC/ of China on Thursday issued a number of provisions regarding the Code on Ecology and Environment, marking the provision of its first legal interpretation in the country.
These provisions are intended to ensure a smooth transition from the old legal norms to the new ones after the code comes into force, as well as to guarantee its comprehensive and accurate application.
As reported by the UNHCR, the provisions will come into force simultaneously with the code on August 15. -0-
