Beijing, August 6 /Xinhua/ — The People’s Bank of China (PBOC, Central Bank) and the Central Bank of Argentina have extended the bilateral currency swap agreement. The PBOC announced this on Thursday.
As noted by the NBK, the deal amount is 130 billion yuan /approximately 19.1 billion US dollars/, or 28 trillion Argentine pesos.
It is noted that the term of the agreement is five years and may be extended by mutual consent of the parties.
The PBOC stated that extending the currency swap agreement between China and Argentina will promote further deepening of financial cooperation between the two countries, stimulate bilateral trade and economic exchanges, and ensure the stability of the financial market. –0–
