Bishkek, July 31 /Xinhua/ — Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on Friday in the Kyrgyz city of Cholpon-Ata, within the framework of the state visit of the Azerbaijani leader to Kyrgyzstan, signed a treaty on allied relations between the two countries. This was reported by the press service of the head of Kyrgyzstan.
On the same day, the heads of the two states held negotiations, following which they made statements to the media. S. Japarov, a substantial package of bilateral documents has been signed, covering the fields of energy, transport, cybersecurity, education, financial market regulation, as well as precious metals management. “The agreements reached confirm the mutual desire of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan to further deepen their allied relations,” he noted.
As reported on the website of the President of Azerbaijan, I. Aliyev stated: “Today, together with you, we have raised our interstate relations to the highest level, once again demonstrating our joint commitment to strengthening our cooperation.”
The President of Azerbaijan pointed out that allied relations are a very great responsibility, and Azerbaijan is ready for this responsibility. “We will continue to support each other in all endeavors: both on international platforms and in the trade-economic sphere, in the field of strengthening security,” he added. –0–
