A startup by a GUU student attracted 5 million rubles in investments and won a grant from the Skolkovo Foundation. This is a record among GUU startups.
The project of Ruslana Bulakh, a student at the GUU Institute of Marketing, “One Blood” Donor Assistance Portal received a grant from the Skolkovo Foundation amounting to 1.5 million rubles for patenting a unique technological platform.
The startup helps develop a culture of responsible blood donation for animals by bringing together those in need of help and those willing to provide it. The MVP of the digital platform for donor assistance to animals was launched on April 30, 2026.
The project team also includes GUU graduates Rostislav Akalovich and Anton Vershinin. Together, the guys attracted 5 million rubles in investments over six months and received support from the Agency for Strategic Initiatives as one of the promising technological projects. The Skolkovo grant will be an important step toward scaling the project.
“Let this story serve as a reminder: one idea that you truly believe in can grow into a project of federal scale. Perhaps the next such story will begin with you,” said the project author Ruslana Bulakh.
Recall that earlier two projects by representatives of GUU, including “One Blood”, became winners of the federal youth entrepreneurship competition “Create OURS” and received grants in the amount of 1 million rubles.
