Beijing, July 31 /Xinhua/ — The China Coast Guard (CCG) conducted a routine law enforcement patrol on Friday in the waters east of the Chinese island of Taiwan, said CCG official spokesperson Jiang Lue.
According to Jiang Lue, a squadron of ships, including the vessel “Xushan,” has been strengthening control over the relevant waters since early July, ensuring normal navigation and operational order, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the country, as well as the safety of the lives and property of Chinese people, including compatriots from Taiwan.
