Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak held a meeting of the subcommittee on enhancing the resilience of the financial sector and specific economic industries with the participation of Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Maxim Oreshkin, representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Finance, Federal Tax Service, Central Bank, and the business community. The key issue was providing prompt assistance to partner-sellers of the company “RVB,” whose goods were affected due to attacks on logistics complexes.

“The consequences of the airstrikes have caused significant damage to a considerable portion of small and medium-sized businesses. In this regard, I consider it necessary to focus the commission’s work on developing concrete proposals aimed at swiftly overcoming these challenges and providing targeted support to the affected businesses,” emphasized Alexander Novak.

Minister of Economic Development Maksim Reshetnikov identified three key tasks that need to be addressed for the prompt resumption and ensuring stable operation of sellers – platform partners.

“The first is, of course, ensuring uninterrupted deliveries of goods to consumers by restoring and restructuring logistics chains so that products reach people again. The second is helping suppliers, especially manufacturers, resume operations. The third is systemic measures aimed at increasing supply resilience, boosting inventory levels, and enhancing delivery flexibility and responsiveness,” the minister noted.

A set of priority measures aimed at ensuring the financial stability of sellers was considered to stabilize the situation.

Alexander Novak and Maxim Oreshkin instructed the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Finance, and the Federal Tax Service, together with the Central Bank and business associations, to determine the parameters of the proposed measures, as well as to submit draft acts necessary for their implementation to the Government by August 10.

Following the meeting, the main directions for the further work of the subcommission were outlined, including the continuation of monitoring economic sectors requiring special attention, timely assessment of emerging risks, improvement of existing enterprise support mechanisms, preparation of additional proposals if necessary, and submission of relevant draft regulatory legal acts.
