Washington, July 29 /Xinhua/ — U.S. President Donald Trump held a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Tuesday. It was their first face-to-face talks since the joint U.S.-Israel military operation against Iran began on February 28. The White House described the meeting as “positive and productive”.
According to statements published by the governments of the two countries after the negotiations, the closed-door meeting lasted nearly 90 minutes and was mainly devoted to Iran and its nuclear program.
“Both meetings were positive and productive!” White House spokesperson Caroline Livitt said on social media, also referring to D. Trump’s meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky behind closed doors earlier the same day.
According to a statement published by B. Netanyahu’s administration, during the negotiations, the leaders of the two countries reaffirmed their “unwavering commitment to ensuring that Iran never obtains nuclear weapons.”

“We destroyed their nuclear facilities, and we will have to destroy Pyongyang if we do not make a deal,” Trump warned again.
