In the student dormitory of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation on Leningradsky Avenue in Moscow, builders have completed a major renovation of the residential blocks located on the 2nd to 9th floors of the building. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
“Comprehensive work is underway in Russia to renew educational infrastructure, including both academic buildings and student housing. Renovations of the residential blocks at the dormitory of the Financial University in Moscow have been completed. Students will be able to live in the updated premises starting this fall. Work is currently continuing in the administrative offices and the sports block. It is planned to fully complete the major renovation of the entire building, which has an area of about 35,000 square meters, by 2027,” noted Marat Khusnullin.
The Deputy Prime Minister clarified that the nine-story building, built in 1989, accommodates 375 rooms (about 750 beds). The work is being carried out under the supervision of the JSC “Unified Customer in the Construction Sector.”
“At the facility with two technical floors and a basement, windows and stained glass have already been replaced, currently finishing work is underway in the administrative areas and installation of engineering systems in the sports block is in progress. Work continues in the area of the 25-meter pool, gymnastics hall, and gym. Electrical supply, water supply, sewage, ventilation, and heating systems are also being upgraded,” clarified Karen Oganesyan, General Director of the “Unified Customer”.
The major overhaul work on the dormitory infrastructure is carried out taking into account all modern regulatory requirements and standards established for educational institutions.
