Order dated July 21, 2026, No. 1915-r
A unified directorate for specially protected natural areas will be established in the Zaporizhzhia region. An order to this effect has been signed.
A new structure is being created to preserve natural complexes, plant and animal life, natural ecological systems, historical and cultural objects, and their restoration.
Her sphere of activity also includes environmental education, conducting scientific research in the field of environmental protection, and state environmental monitoring in specially protected natural areas of federal significance located in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Previously, the Government approved a decree on the establishment of a specially protected natural area of federal significance in the Zaporizhzhya region – the Velikiy Lug National Park.
Work is being carried out within the framework of the socio-economic development program for the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
