Beijing, July 23 /Xinhua/ — Tian Xuebin, former deputy minister of water resources of China, has been expelled from the Communist Party of China and removed from his position for serious violations of discipline and laws, according to an official statement published on Thursday.
Tian Xuebin was also a member of the Party group of the leadership of the Ministry of Water Resources of the PRC.
The investigation into Tian Xuebin was conducted by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the State Supervisory Commission of the PRC with the sanction of the CPC Central Committee.
During the investigation, it was established that Tian Xuebin seriously violated political and organizational discipline, as well as the discipline of incorruptibility, committed serious violations in the performance of official duties, and is suspected of accepting bribes.
In accordance with party rules and laws, a decision was made to expel Tian Xuebing from the party, dismiss him from public service, and confiscate the illegally acquired property. Tian Xuebing’s case will be handed over to prosecutorial authorities for further review and criminal prosecution. -0-
