On July 20, the 9th World Conference on Artificial Intelligence and the High-Level Conference on Global AI Governance concluded. They brought together representatives from government, business, and academia from more than 100 countries worldwide. Concurrently with the events, exhibitions and forums took place, and international cooperation projects were implemented. A number of important results were achieved based on their outcomes.

Many foreign conference participants and industry representatives highly appreciated its significance for the development of the industry, the consensus reached on issues of global artificial intelligence governance, and the open cooperation model.

Dmitry Kalin, head of strategic development at one of the Russian small and medium-sized enterprises, noted: “China’s approaches and strategic decisions in the field of technological development are not limited exclusively to artificial intelligence but encompass the scientific and technical sphere as a whole. Many researchers gathered at the conference, with representatives from scientific and industrial circles closely interacting with each other. This is truly remarkable.”

Sharath Martin, Senior Policy Advisor for the Asia-Pacific region at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants Malaysia (ACCA), stated: “The conference clearly demonstrated that AI technologies are already being applied in commercial scenarios and are becoming part of people’s everyday lives. The scale of their application will continue to expand. I would like to highly commend the industry interaction and exchange system created by China, as well as its willingness to share its achievements with the entire world. This is extremely important.”

Federico Capaccio, an Italian expert in applied artificial intelligence, noted: “Artificial intelligence is everywhere today – in phones, in daily news, yet the opportunity to gather together for direct communication and exchange of experiences holds special significance. Interacting with each participant at the conference allows one to learn something new. The combination of artificial intelligence and robotics is one of the most promising directions today. Robots have already gone beyond standardized stationary manufacturing processes and are actively used in a wide variety of production workshops. Today robots can be seen everywhere, and this trend is truly inspiring.”
