Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev held a working meeting with the Governor of the Zaporizhzhia region, Yevhen Balytskyi. The main topics were the development of the region’s agro-industrial complex and environmental issues.

The regional head reported that currently the harvesting campaign is underway in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, with work proceeding as planned. The crop has been harvested from an area of about 140,000 hectares, which accounts for more than 20% of the total area of cereals and leguminous crops. Over 400,000 tons of grain has been threshed.

Dmitry Patrushev and Evgeny Balitsky also touched on the issue of Zaporizhzhia region’s participation in the national project “Environmental Well-being”. The region plans to build facilities for the management of solid municipal waste, clean water bodies, and reforest. In addition, a project to eliminate accumulated environmental damage in the city of Berdyansk has already been developed, and a contract has been signed with the contractor.
