Graduate of Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (SPbGASU) (specialization “Industrial and Civil Construction”) Alexey Pasko appointed the chairman of the Committee for State Construction Supervision and State Expertise of the Leningrad Region. The corresponding order was signed by the governor of the Leningrad Region Aleksandr Drozdenko.

“The Governor has set two key tasks for the committee: to ensure compliance with legislation in construction and to help the industry navigate a difficult economic period. To achieve this, we will strengthen the prevention of violations, identify risks at early stages, improve the quality of project documentation, reduce the number of repeated comments and delays during the examination and permitting processes. It is important to resolve contentious issues before they lead to missed deadlines or complicate the commissioning of a facility. Special attention will be given to digitalization, clarity of requirements, and direct interaction with developers and municipalities. The result of this work should be safe, quality, and timely commissioned facilities,” noted Alexey Pasko.

Aleksey Pasko graduated from Saint Petersburg State University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics with a degree in “Management and Informatics in Technical Systems,” as well as from SPbGASU in “Industrial and Civil Construction.” In both fields, he obtained the qualification of engineer.

Aleksey Pasko began his professional career in 2009. He worked in the field of engineering support and construction supervision, progressing from engineer to deputy director of construction at the Saint Petersburg Construction Projects Management.

Since December 2021, he held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Committee of State Construction Supervision and State Expertise of the Leningrad Region, and since July 2025 — Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Construction of the Leningrad Region.

On July 21, 2026, he assumed the position of Chairman of the Committee for State Construction Supervision and State Expertise of the Leningrad Region.

“SPbGASU was originally created to train specialists competent in all areas of architectural, engineering, and construction direction. Our graduates, well-versed in their specialization, know how it fits into the system of related fields and are able to establish a system of interaction among all components. That is why, from the very first graduates, we produced not just engineers, not just architects, but urban planners who led projects for the creation of new settlements, districts, industrial facilities, and more.”

Thanks to a practice-oriented approach in training and working on solving complex problems, our graduates acquire skills in interdisciplinary interaction and competencies necessary to lead large projects, including at regional and federal levels. The appointment of Alexey Pasko as the head of the committee confirms this.

I am confident that his managerial talents and high competence will contribute to the consistent resolution of the tasks facing the Leningrad Region related to state construction supervision and state expertise. I wish Aleksey Konstantinovich faith in his own abilities and – not to forget his alma mater – we love and value all our graduates and are always open to cooperation.” – noted the Dean of the Faculty of Construction of SPbGASU upon Aleksey Pasko’s assumption of office Andrey Nikulin.
