Volunteers from the capital’s schools inspire parents and teachers to regularly help participants of the special military operation (SMO), residents of new and border regions as one big team of like-minded people. Together, they deliver humanitarian aid to headquarters, bring gifts to “Houses of Kindness” project “Moscow helps”, and also participate in patriotic workshops at centers “The Good Place”. For example, students of the school named after Marshal V.I. Chuikov in the southeast collect essential goods, weave camouflage nets, write letters, make trench candles, and create other necessary items with their own hands.
“The participation of schoolchildren in collecting humanitarian aid is an important part of the educational process, a manifestation of unity, sincere feelings, and support for those in need. Children see that even their small contribution can be important and that everyone can help. We support educational organizations in their efforts to show young people in practice what it means to do good deeds,” noted the director of the resource center

Kind help
The volunteer squad of the school in the southeast named after Marshal V.I. Chuikov has actively begun assisting participants of the Special Military Operation, residents of new and border regions along with the whole country. The students have set up a humanitarian aid reception point in one of the buildings. They are supported by the director, teachers, parents, and other students. Today, more than 300 people participate in collecting, sorting, packing, and delivering items. Essential goods are collected specifically and according to requests.
In the cadet classes of the school, an officer-educator works who is a graduate of the Donetsk Higher Military-Political School of Engineer and Signal Troops, Yuri Tvardovsky. He helps veterans and residents of the regions.
The volunteer squad regularly receives thanks from the fighters to whom it delivers aid. Many of them are former graduates of the school. In addition, the mothers, aunts, and grandmothers of the defenders, whom the volunteers help, have been staff members of the teaching team for many years. Participants of the special military operation often come to the school and conduct lessons on courage for the children, helping to organize patriotic events.
“We started collecting aid to show our fighters that we are near, ready to help and overcome all difficulties. They need our support and understanding that their native school remembers them. I am proud that we were able to unite caring people around us. Assistance has become part of everyday life, bringing together the older and younger generations into one large volunteer team,” shared Elena Drobysheva, advisor to the director on education and interaction with children’s public associations.
Volunteers collect the necessary items and sort them into boxes for delivery to their destinations. Over three years, the school’s staff have managed to deliver shipments 89 times. The scope of the volunteer squad’s assistance expanded to the Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod regions after the arrival of the new physical education teacher, Roman Gizatulin, a retired lieutenant colonel. Caring students and parents collected seasonal clothing, slippers, medicines, canned food, grains, tea and coffee, personal hygiene products, as well as building materials for the residents at the collection point. The teachers regularly traveled with humanitarian convoys.

The students make tactical bracelets for servicemen with their own hands, and at workshops under the supervision of teachers, they make “Support Fire” candles in tin cans. The girls, together with Elena Drobysheva, weave camouflage nets in a circle of like-minded people. In each package, the children include letters and postcards with warm wishes. Over time, they have written more than a thousand messages with words of support.
According to Elena Drobysheva, there are a huge number of compassionate people in Russia who will support even in the most difficult situations. If they do not know how to start helping, they can come to the school in the southeast named after Marshal V.I. Chuikov. Here, there is work for everyone: you can weave nets, write letters, and collect aid. Even a small thing made sincerely can save a life or warm a soldier’s heart.
The school’s volunteer squad actively cooperates with many non-profit and public organizations that support participants of the special military operation. Together, they assist residents of new and border regions, as well as local educational institutions and boarding schools. The rector of the Church of Andrew the Blessed in Tekstilshchiki provides significant help in the collections.
Together with the “Good Place. SEAD” center, the school’s volunteer team conducts patriotic lessons and creative activities for children, organizes various campaigns, meetings, and concerts to support fighters and their families. This allows reaching more people and making the assistance more systematic.
“Moscow Helps”
Every day, city residents can support the inhabitants of new and border regions by coming to the headquarters “Moscow Helps”. Fish, meat, and vegetable canned goods, pasta, buckwheat, rice, bedding, household cleaning chemicals, and personal hygiene products are accepted here. In addition, it is possible to help participants of the special military operation, children living in new regions, and animals from shelters in “Houses of Goodness” the project “Moscow Helps.”
