An expanded meeting on the development of “Artek” and an award ceremony for its employees took place at the new site of the “Solnechny” camp in the International Children’s Center “Artek” (ICC “Artek”). The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov, as well as the management and employees of “Artek”.
The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the representatives of “Artek” for their responsibility, their caring approach to the matter, and the warmth with which they surround the children, as well as the Ministry of Education, the regional ministry, the Republic of Crimea, the Krasnodar Territory, and the Artek team for their coordinated work in transporting the children.
He noted that the season is challenging, but the federal executive authorities and the republic’s leadership are taking all necessary measures. The work of returning the children and transporting them to other camps was carried out in a short time and at a high organizational level. The safety of the children is the top priority.
“Despite the current situation, ‘Artek’ was and remains the main center and, above all, the primary methodological base for organizing children’s recreation in Russia. These are not just words. You are creating a golden standard for children’s recreation, which all other camps follow. ‘Artek’ is a legend, ‘Artek’ is truly the best practice. You have breathed life into the new infrastructure and continue to support it. You are now carrying out very important work, as entrusted by our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, who pays great attention to the upbringing of the younger generation and supports children’s camps. Recently, a school for pedagogical workers was opened at ‘Artek,’ where all counselors and educators adopt the best practices from leading experts,” said Dmitry Chernyshenko.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that participants in the pedagogical workers’ school undergo training to become ambassadors of best practices, to replicate and scale them in other camps. The Artek Educational Center has also organized remote training for teachers in three programs. In recent years, more than 55,000 specialists from across the country have completed such advanced training courses at the MDC.
In his address to the Artek team, Sergey Kravtsov expressed gratitude to the management and staff of the MDC, regional authorities, and emergency services for their prompt and coordinated work in organizing the unscheduled departure of participants of the seventh shift.
“The infrastructure of ‘Artek’ is ready to receive children. This can happen at any moment – as the situation allows. It is important that the work of methodological and technical services continues. On our part, we will continue to do everything to support and develop ‘Artek.’ We are preserving the vouchers. All children who were unable to attend ‘Artek’ in this shift will have the opportunity to apply on a priority basis for participation in new shifts of the center, as soon as it resumes work,” said Sergey Kravtsov.
The Minister of Education presented letters of gratitude from the Government of Russia and departmental awards to the center’s employees.
The honorary title “Honored Worker of the Education Sphere of the Russian Federation” was awarded to: Natalia Virevkina – head of the financial and settlement operations accounting department of the centralized accounting office, Irina Mityaieva – deputy head of the planning and economic work department, Oksana Petysh – head of the contract service.
Marina Makhortova, the head of the medical and sanitary department, was awarded the departmental badge “Excellence in Education.”
Gratitude from the Government of the Russian Federation has been announced to: Rostislav Galomay – chief specialist of the department for student placement and voucher implementation, Svetlana Zimora – logistics specialist of the department for student placement and voucher implementation, Valery Taran – driver of the operations section, Vladlen Shatskikh – chief specialist of the department for technical and content support of the AIS, Tatyana Shishlakova – chief specialist of the unified contact center.
Letters of gratitude from the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation were awarded to: Aldar Alekseev – physical education instructor at the children’s camp “Morskoy,” Denis Ermolyn – counselor at the children’s camp “Lesnoy,” Konstantin Zakharenkov – driver of the operations section, Mikhail Kolesov – counselor at the children’s camp “Vozdushny,” Sergey Pavlich – driver of the operations section.
