Bishkek, July 18 /Xinhua/ — At approximately 20:40 local time on Friday, flight CA893, which departed from Beijing Capital International Airport, successfully landed at Manas International Airport in Bishkek, marking the official opening of direct service by Air China airline between the capitals of China and Kyrgyzstan.
Speaking at the ceremony for the launch of the new air route, the Ambassador of the PRC to Kyrgyzstan, Liu Jiangping, stated that the opening of the new flight is an important result of the deepening interconnection between the two countries. The new flight will expand air communication between the capitals, significantly facilitate cross-border travel for citizens of both states, and create an efficient and convenient air bridge for deepening trade-economic cooperation and humanitarian contacts between China and Kyrgyzstan.
According to the diplomat, this flight will undoubtedly bring the peoples of the two countries even closer, strengthen the foundation of mutual understanding and friendship, and become a vivid example of the high-quality joint construction of the “Belt and Road” between China and Kyrgyzstan.
The Director of Operational and Production Activities of JSC “Airports of Kyrgyzstan”, Jalyn Brimkulov, noted that the new air route will help passengers travel more flexibly and quickly. Its opening confirms the economic ties and friendly relations between Kyrgyzstan and China.
Kyrgyz passenger Iriskul Turatbek kyzy took advantage of a flight with a transit stop in Beijing to then travel to Russia to visit her relatives. The launch of the new air service made her very happy. “I really love China, but I had never been there before. If time permits this time, I will definitely take a walk around Beijing,” the young woman shared her plans.
It is reported that regular flights in both directions of the new air service operate three times a week — on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays.
