The team of the Trade Union of PJSC “KAMAZ” will participate in the III All-Russian Trade Union Tourist Rally “Because We Are Together,” which starts on July 23. This large-scale event will gather trade union teams from various regions of the country and will last until July 26.
This year, the tournament changed location: instead of the village of Bolshoye Goloustnoye on the shore of Lake Baikal, the venue chosen is the Utyulik recreation center in the Slyudyansky District of the Irkutsk Region, near the Sobolinaya Mountain ski resort. Participants will have to adapt to unfamiliar routes and terrain. They are in for a packed program: orienteering in rough terrain, a tourist obstacle course, a water distance on rafts along the turbulent rivers of the Baikal region, and a control-tourist hike along scenic routes. A separate item is the creative contest “My Team,” where artistry, resourcefulness, and a sense of humor are important.
The union team of “KAMAZ” included representatives from the Deputy General Director’s Block – Development Director – Design Engineer, team captain Ilnaz Gazizov, chief specialists Dmitry Svinjakov and Evgeny Verkin, process engineer Liliya Nenashova, design engineer Anastasia Belyaeva, as well as the casting plant site foreman Roman Paikiev.
The Kamaz team began preparing for the tourist rally immediately after the conclusion of the Open Festival of Tourism, Culture, and Sports of PJSC “KAMAZ.” Training sessions take place in the “Pribrezhny” park and at the grounds of School No. 37 in Naberezhnye Chelny. The sports training is supervised by experienced mentors — Andrey Kudryashov and Ilnur Galiullin. They help the participants hone their skills in passing the stages of the tourist obstacle course, working on technique and coordination. For the creative stage — preparing an introduction for the “My Team” contest — they receive assistance from Yegor Kochurov, Chairman of the Youth Council of the Development Block.
“We train twice a week. The core of the team is the staff of the Development Block; we work in the same department, so we took every opportunity for additional training. Even short breaks during the workday were turned into mini-workouts: tying knots, reviewing topographic signs, refining coordination. The morale is combat-ready. We have experience from last year; we know what to expect and understand what we need to work on. The most difficult stage will probably be the water one — rafting down a turbulent river. But we believe in victory and will do everything to achieve it.”, – shared team captain Ilnaz Gazizov.
Last year at the II rally in Bolshoy Goloustnoye, the PAO “KAMAZ” team competed for the first time as an independent team and took third place in the overall team standings among 15 teams from 12 regions. At that time, more than 170 participants gathered on the shores of Baikal, and the KAMAZ team proved they were ready to compete with the strongest.
The organizers of the tourist rally are the Trade Union of ASM RF and other nationwide sectoral trade unions, territorial associations of trade union organizations, and partner organizations – participants of the public trade union physical culture and mass movement “Because We Are Together,” created on the initiative of the interactive TV channel “Trade Union TV.” The event, which traditionally gathers trade union teams from various regions and sectors of the economy in the Irkutsk region, is supported by the Ministry of Sports of the Irkutsk Region and leading industrial enterprises of the region.
